Planning your destination wedding can be time consuming and there is so much information on the Internet, it’s hard to know where to start. Friends and family will also offer their advice based on their experience and wants but what is right for you?

Take a moment and talk with your fiancé about what you want your day to be like. This conversation may not lead to immediate conclusions but at the very least you will begin to define your wedding vision.  Next talk about a date or at least a date range, for example January to March and start planning about at least six months or more before your desired date.  Ask yourselves the following questions…

Do you picture yourself strolling down a powder white beach to crystalline blue-green water?  If you are ready to ditch a traditional wedding then yes, a destination wedding is right for you!   Are you undecided?  Then read through our FAQ page or Is a Destination Wedding right for us?

WHERE SHOULD WE GET MARRIED?

The most popular ceremony venue for a destination wedding is the beach followed by gazebos and chapels.  Most of our weddings take place in Mexico, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.  Each destination has numerous possibilities for any type of wedding you want so it is important to define your wedding vision.

WHO DO WE INVITE?

One of the biggest questions is who do you want to share in your in your Big Day? For many couples, immediate family and close friends are a natural start to a guest list and after that, it gets a little tricky.  The good news is there are no rules for who you invite to your destination wedding and our wedding groups average around 45 guests.

Ask your parents or close friends for their support during this time and take advice from the people that support your destination wedding vision.
